How do I get to Blue Mountain from YYZ?
Toronto Pearson offers convenient on-site car rental service from Avis, Budget, Dollar/Thrifty, Enterprise, Hertz and National/Alamo on Level 1 of the Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 parking garages.
Alternately, you can take an airport limo or shuttle service, relax and enjoy the scenery on the 90-minute ride. Once you arrive, Blue Mountain is a pedestrian village that offers a free local guest shuttle.

What do I need to know about the Hotel?

What is Blue Mountain Village like?
The resort shuttle will transport hotel guests to destinations in the Blue Mountain Village, a quaint pedestrian community brimming with boutiques, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Take advantage of the many of indoor and outdoor options. There are numerous activities to choose from as well as great shopping in the village and nearby Collingwood. Swing by the hotel concierge desk for more information when you arrive.
What are the Westin rooms and rates?
The VO-Con rate is $199.00CAD per night, more than a 40% discount for a one-bedroom suite, that provides a separate living space allowing conference attendees to truly enjoy every aspect of their visit to this stunning destination. A sitting area showcases a queen-size pull-out sofa, gas fireplace and plenty of room to move and relax and the stylish granite kitchenette comes complete with a stove-top, microwave, under-the-counter refrigerator, toaster, coffeemaker and dinnerware. When it’s time to rest, attendees can retreat to the separate bedroom’s queen-size Heavenly® Bed and delight in the lavish spa-like amenities in the Heavenly® Shower and Bath. How do I make a Hotel Reservation?

Can I extend my hotel stay?
Please use the hotel reservation link or phone the hotel directly (705.443.8080) if you would like to stay longer than the conference dates. This is subject to hotel availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Can I upgrade my room?
Upgraded suites in the hotel may be available for an additional cost. Please contact the hotel directly for availability and rates. This is subject to hotel availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Does the Westin charge for wi-fi?
SPG members can access the hotel wi-fi at no charge. Otherwise, Westin wi-fi will be billed on a per guest room/day basis at $9.95+HST for 24 hours or $17.95+HST for 72 hours. Up to 3 devices can be connected.
What are the hotel check-in / check-out times?

When should I arrive?
If you are attending the Board of Directors Meeting, plan to arrive in time for the 1:00pm start.
If you are attending the CVOA Annual General Meeting, plan to arrive in time for the 1:45pm start.
The September 12 Networking Activities and Cocktail Reception starts at 7:00pm.
What is the VO-Con dress code?
Blue Mountain is a laid-back resort where the dress code is always Mountain Casual. We’ve adopted this relaxed style in our conference dress code:
What should I pack?
The conference dress code is “mountain casual”.
Pack a bathing suit. The Westin also features the Plunge! Aquatic Centre. Plunge! is inspired by the tradition of cottage-style boathouses and includes both indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, rope swings, slides and comfortable Muskoka dock chairs.
It is also recommended to bring a sweater and comfortable walking shoes.
How do I cancel or change my registration?
Please contact our Conference Manager, Michelle Clarke, email [email protected]. You can get a full refund for cancellation on or before August 9, 2018; however, there will be a 20% administration fee applied. There is no refund for cancellations after August 9, 2018.
What do I do if I want to ship my conference materials in advance?

Do I need a Visa to travel into Canada?
From the US: American citizens must carry proper identification and meet the basic requirements to enter Canada. You do not need a Canadian passport, a Canadian visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to enter Canada if you are travelling with a valid U.S. passport.
From Mexico: As of December 1, 2016, you will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to travel to Canada. Applying for an eTA is a simple online process that takes just a few minutes and costs only $7.00CAD. To apply, you must have a valid passport or acceptable travel document, a credit card, and an email address. Here is a link.
Note: If you already have a valid Canadian visa you don’t need to apply for an eTA. You can travel with your visa until it expires.
What is the weather like in Blue Mountain?
The weather is usually quite mild in September, with an average high of 72oF/22oC and an average low of 54oF/12oC.
What time zone is Blue Mountain in?
Ontario is in the Eastern time zone. As Ontario observes the Daylight-Saving time, the time during the conference will be GMT-4.
What is the sales tax?
Purchases in Ontario are subject to 13% HST.
