How do I cancel or change my registration?
Please contact our Conference Manager, Emily Kwong, email email@example.com or phone (604) 708-2514. You can get a full refund for cancellation on or before August 9, 2017; however, there will be a 20% administration fee applied. There is no refund for cancellations after August 9, 2017.
What do I do if I want to ship my conference materials in advance?

I would like to stay longer than the conference dates, what is my hotel rate?

I would like to upgrade my room type, how much will this cost?

Do I need a Visa to travel into Canada?
From the US: American citizens must carry proper identification and meet the basic requirements to enter Canada. You do not need a Canadian passport, a Canadian visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to enter Canada if you are travelling with a valid U. S. passport.
From Mexico: As of December 1, 2016 you will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to travel to Canada. Applying for an eTA is a simple online process that takes just a few minutes and costs only $7.00CAD. To apply, you must have a valid passport or acceptable travel document, a credit card, and an email address. Here is a link
Note: If you already have a valid Canadian visa you don’t need to apply for an eTA. You can travel with your visa until it expires.
What is the weather like in Whistler?
The weather in Whistler village is usually quite mild in September, with an average high of 68oF/20oC and an average low of 47oF/8oC.
What should I pack?
The conference dress code is “mountain casual”. The Four Seasons offers beautiful spa as well as an outdoor heated pool and hot tub, so bring a bathing suit. It is also recommended to bring a sweater, hat, gloves, and comfortable walking shoes with waterproof soles.
What is the VO-Con dress code?
Whistler is a laid-back resort where the dress code is always Mountain Casual. We’ve adopted this relaxed style in our conference dress code.

What time zone is Whistler in?
British Columbia is in the Pacific time zone. As BC observes the Daylight Saving time, the time during the conference will be GMT-7.
What is the sales tax in Whistler?
Some purchases only have a 5% Federal Goods & Services Tax (GST) applied; others are also subject to a 7% Provincial Sales Tax (PST).
What activities are recommended in Whistler?
On September 12 and 13, you will have a few hours of leisure time in the afternoon. Take advantage of the Whistler playground as there are plenty of indoor and outdoor options. You have the option to pre-book some activities on September 12 at registration, or you can swing by the hotel concierge desk for more information when you arrive.
